Well today saw my first exhibition take place at the Wasp Gallery in Edinburgh....

It was a trully lovely and satisfying experience made more so by the fact that my family made a real effort to attend and actively participate.

My father who is an avid Biker and finds that beauty and creativity can only be found in a Honda CRS1100 (thats a motorbike!) did his best to look engaged as my Tutor the scatty and lovely Esther enthused in animated voice about "Conceptual v Representational...

Bless him... I took so much warmth today from the support of those around..

It is a fascinating but often lonely experience to be an Artist or creator..Locked away describing our own imagination, fears and thoughts through our hands. I felt nurtured at being able to share these things.

Saying that though I'm sure my father has gone away a little perplexed at some of my work, there was a worried frown that took over when he realised I didn't paint bowls of fruit but rotting meat and men with third degree burns!....

Well dearest DA good luck to anyone who has work showing..it is a great feeling, embrace it.
